The Grange of Prince Edward Vineyards and Estate Winery

The Grange of Prince Edward Vineyards and Estate Winery are the proud Sponsors of Harvestin' the County. The father/daughter team of Bob and Caroline Granger have poured their passion for viticulture and their love of Prince Edward County in to 60 acres of rolling vineyards, a pastoral setting and dramatic tasting room housed in a Loyalist barn, circa 1826. The Grange is the Loyalist version of a French wine estate, complete with rich textures, historical outbuildings and old-world charm.

Canadian Organic Growers
Canadian Organic Growers (COG) is a national charitable organization with a chapter in Prince Edward County. Check out a listing of COG events in the County. Members believe that organic food production is the best choice for the health of consumers and producers, for the protection and enhancement of the environment, and for the sustainability of the food production system.

The Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario
The Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario develops and provides programs promoting the practice and advancement of ecological agriculture which maintains and enhances the health of the soil, water, crops, livestock, and the diversity of the environment. The Association has a Quinte chapter.

The Ontario Federation of Agriculture
The Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) is a farmer-lead dynamic provincial lobby which works to represent the interests of its farm members to government. Today the OFA continues to work hard in the County to ensure that all levels of government hear Ontario farmers' concerns.

The Locavores are a group of concerned culinary adventurers who are making an effort to eat only foods grown or harvested within a 100 mile radius of San Francisco for an entire month. This site offers many interesting links and suggestions about eating local.

Prince Edward County Slow Food Convivium
Find out about Slow Food Prince Edward County events. The name “Slow Food” opposes the continuing expansion of fast food establishments that quickly crowd out local culinary traditions.
